Traffic stats

This counter is still deliberately stricter than usual: no IP address is ever stored — not even briefly or hashed, no cookie, no other identifier. A hit consists only of a timestamp, the page, and its source (direct/bookmark, search engine, or — for external links — the full referring page including its path, so it is clear exactly where the click came from). Strictly speaking, nothing extra is being collected here: the timestamp and referrer are already part of every ordinary HTTP request and would otherwise just sit unused in the server log — here they are simply made visible. The referring URL identifies the page that linked here, not the visiting person: without an IP address, cookie, or identifier, none of this can be traced back to individual visitors — not even whether two hits came from the same visitor. No visitor recognition, no Google Analytics or similar. Individual hits are auto-deleted after 60 days — only the plain daily total (with no detail at all) is kept for the trend.
